Yorkshire Dales Photography Course
I’ve just had a great few days running a photography workshop in the Yorkshire Dales. The weather was excellent: blue skies, photogenic clouds with just an hour of drizzle over the whole three days of the course.
The dales really do offer a diverse range of subjects from fantastic waterfalls, rugged limestone pavements, ruined abbeys , old stone barns and the dry stone walls the dales are famous for.
We photographed all these subjects from dawn until dusk. An early morning shoot at a limestone pavement with a lone tree at the end of it made for a memorable shoot. The waterfalls offer so many different combinations for compositions from wide-angle shots to more close-up intimate images. There are also many ruined buildings from abbeys to old stone barns. In fact one of my favourite images is of a ruined stone barn which we photographed on the way to a beautiful waterfall.
So all in all a wonderful trip. I’m very much looking forward to being back in the Yorkshire dales in the near future.
I will be running another Yorkshire dales workshop next October if you would like to join me on that workshop please click on the link below.
