Photography Course in the Brecon Beacons Wales
I had a really good time running my three day photography course in the Brecon Beacons a few days ago. The weather was typically Welsh, a day of sunshine and puffy white clouds, a day of cloud (very good for photographing waterfalls) and a bit of a rainy day. Although you wouldn’t choose rain we donned waterproofs and rain covers for the cameras and everyone shot all day ending up with some great images. Especially waterfalls which were by now raging torrents.
I had a full course of five students who were all absolutely lovely and got on really well together. I think is one of the best things about attending a course with like- minded individuals is the social side of things that you get on a workshop along with the tuition of course.
We had a real variety of locations as well from great mountain vista to waterfalls and a ruined abbey. Plenty to keep all my photographers happy.
I split the time between learning new techniques and practising composition because photography is a combination of technical and artistic skills. There was a reasonable amount of cake eating over the three days. Hopefully we managed to walk it all off!
The week before the course I was in the Brecon Beacons checking out a few new locations so I had a greater opportunity to shoot images for myself. So the pictures accompanying this blog are a combination of my two fantastic visits to a wonderful part of the country. Looking forward to visiting again.
