I finished the last of my two and three-day courses in Norfolk that I run throughout the year last week. I find that September is a really reliable month weather-wise and my three day course didn’t disappoint. Great sunrise and sunsets with not a drop of rain. We were very lucky with near perfect conditions.
The great thing about Norfolk is that it has both great sunrise and sunset locations. A big bonus is that you have excellent opportunities for coastal photography as well as the Norfolk broads to explore. And all the while there will always be Norfolk’s big skies to add a bit of drama.
During September the east coast’s grey seal population is just starting to get ready for the breeding season. This makes the month of September a good time to photograph theses amazing sea mammals. These beautiful creatures add an extra element to my Norfolk photography course. The skills involved with wildlife photography are very different to the ones that you would use for landscape photography.
So, all in all a very successful conclusion to my program of photography mini-breaks during September. It’s not just Norfolk, I go to the Brecon Beacons and the Dorset Coast as well (See mini-breaks, right tool bar of website). For the rest of the year it’s one day workshops and lots of talks for camera clubs. Very much looking forward to being back next year.
