New Forest Photography Course
The ancient patchwork of open heath, mature forest, plus gently running streams and rivers make the New Forest a varied and interesting location for beautiful landscape photography.
Many aspects of photography tuition are covered during this photography workshop including the creative use of shutter speed, control of depth of field, composition, use of colour and light, use of photographic filters, correct exposure and use of histograms (for digital users). Most importantly though is how to develop your photographer’s eye. It is no good having the technical ability to use your camera proficiently if you cannot see a good composition and make the most of it.

Because the New Forest is so varied the photographic potential is huge. From close-up detailed shots, to wide angle landscape images, there is something for everyone; and of course the New Forest ponies may amble past your lens at any time!
The number of students on this landscape photography workshop is limited to no more than five at a time which means I can individually tailor everyone’s learning experience. You will perfect your photography skills in a relaxed atmosphere at your own pace. All levels of photographer’s ability are catered for on this landscape photography course from beginners to more advanced photographers.
All students receive a set of detailed and fully illustrated notes covering what they have learned on the day.
For this full day (over seven hours of tuition) location photography course a reasonable level of fitness is required although the terrain is fairly gentle. The small amount of walking involved should be a pleasant experience adding to your enjoyment of the course. The day begins with all course attendees meeting at a pre-arranged point. Transport between the different photographic locations is not included but Steve is happy to car-share if you wish. He will be driving a seven-seater people carrier. However, if you prefer to use your own car throughout the day, the photographic locations are close to each other and this does not involve driving long distances.
