Dorset Two-day Photography Course
Dorset Coast Landscape Photography Course from Steve Hedges
This landscape photography course is held in a variety of locations from Poole at the eastern end of the Dorset coast to Weymouth, further west.
The Jurassic coast is one of the most stunning, varied and awe-inspiring stretches of coastline to be found anywhere in England. From perfect, crescent-shaped bays, rocky coves, boulder-strewn inlets and towering cliff faces, the Dorset coast is a photographer’s dream.
MEETING POINT : Day one Portland Bill : Postcode DT5 2JT Day two Lulworth cove Postcode BH20 5RQ We will explore two or three different locations on each day of the course. Over seven hours of tuition each day.
All aspects of photography training are covered over the course of this two-day landscape photography workshop, including composition, creative use of shutter speeds and aperture, direction and quality of light, photographic filters, histograms (digital users), camera controls, accurate exposure readings and, most importantly, how to develop your photographer’s eye to improve your photography no end.
This course is limited to no more than five students at a time as this way I can easily get around to everyone and personally tailor their learning experience You can learn and perfect your photography skills in a relaxed atmosphere at your own pace.
So whether you are a complete beginner to photography or at a more advanced level, I believe that this two-day landscape photography course on the Dorset coast will be of use to you.
As with all my other courses, students will receive a set of detailed notes afterwards to help them to remember what they have learned during this photography course.
“Just wanted to say that I had a fantastic time in Dorset with Steve and the other course attendees. Steve has a real skill to keep everything relaxed as well as share his time and gauge the needs of each person. I was very much a beginner but did not once feel left out or holding others back. Can’t wait until later in the year for my other courses and next year’s dates as I would like to do another course”. Nicki Baggott, Dorset Coast two-day course
“I really enjoyed the photoshoot and it was what I needed to give me ideas on how to improve taking photographs. My head is still buzzing from what I have learnt as I hadn’t ventured out of auto since I got the camera. Can’t wait to get out again and put what I have learnt into practice. The notes you sent are fantastic as I spent this morning looking at the pictures and going through the settings on the pictures to remind me of how the pictures were taken and writing notes out as I went along. I will keep an eye open on your other courses and should one come up in Dorset again I will try my best to come on it especially if its wildlife or woodlands as I see some cracking pictures people take and wish I could shoot something similar. But first I need to practice and get more used to the camera and what it can do. Thank you again for your patience and encouragement”. Andy Cox : Dorset Coast photography course
