Dorset Photography workshop

Dorset Photography workshop

I’ve just had a couple of great days running a two day photography workshop on the Dorset coast. I had a really nice group of photographers to work with. We covered so much over the two days I think the course notes will be essential reading for everyone.

The weather played its part: dry, warm with a nice mix of blue sky and cloud. September as a month is becoming more and more reliable weather-wise! We even got a reasonable sunrise at Corfe castle but alas, no mist. I’ve been hoping to see Corfe castle emerge out of the mist for some time now. I guess I’ll just have to be patient , which of course is skill all landscape and nature photographers need to aquire.

I love Dorset’s Jurassic coast. It has so much variety. From perfect horseshoe coves to dramatic cliffs, every stretch of coastline is very different. In fact if you don’t come home with some good images after visiting Dorset I think it’s time to hang up the camera or at the very least put in lots more practise.

I have been photographing the Dorset coast and running workshops there for many years now but it’s never boring. Each location is always different, the light changes; the coastline is ever-changing due to weather and tide. I’m already looking forward to my next visit to Dorset.
